Eligibility for a Hoodland Community Christmas Basket
To qualify for a Christmas Basket, applicants must meet both of the following requirements:
Live within the Hoodland community boundaries
You must reside in one of these communities:
- Alder Creek
- Brightwood
- Cherryville
- Government Camp
- Marmot
- Rhododendron
- Wemme
- Welches
- Zigzag
Have a physical residential address
🏠Proof of Address Requirements
A physical residential address is required to qualify for a Christmas Basket.
P.O. Boxes cannot be accepted.
To verify residency, applicants must provide proof that they live at the address listed on their application.
✔️ Required at Pickup
When picking up your food box and/or gift bag, please bring:
• A valid photo ID
Acceptable forms include:
• Oregon Driver’s License
• Oregon State ID
• Work or school ID with photo (must be paired with proof of address)
• Proof of your physical address
One of the following is required:
• A current utility bill showing your name and physical address
• An Oregon Driver’s License with your current address
• An Oregon ID with your current address

What the basket includes
🎄Our Christmas Baskets are thoughtfully assembled to support families, seniors, and individuals in our community. Each basket typically includes:
• Perishable food items
Fresh ingredients to help families prepare a holiday meal.
• Non‑perishable food items
Pantry staples that provide stability beyond the holiday season.
• Hygiene products
Essentials such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and other personal‑care items.
• Pet food
Because our four‑legged family members matter too.
• Gifts for children ages 0–18
Each child receives age‑appropriate gifts selected from their wish list to ensure a joyful Christmas morning.
Steps to Apply for a Hoodland Community Christmas Basket
Follow these simple steps to apply for your Christmas basket and bring holiday cheer to your family.
1. Get an application
You may choose either option:
- Click on the Start your application link at the top of the page.
- Pick up a paper application at participating local business: Welches Schools, Clackamas County Bank, Welches Mountain Building Supply, Smoke on the Mountain, Welches Liquor Store, Dollar General, Orchid Health, or the Hoodland Library.

Spook Alley – Halloween Night!
Stop by the Christmas Baskets table during Spook Alley to fill out an application, or pick up a paper copy to return later to any of the listed drop‑off locations.
Spook Alley takes place on October 31 from 6 PM to 8 PM Location: Hoodland Thriftway parking area
Bring the kids, enjoy the fun, and take a moment to sign up for holiday support if your household needs it this season. We’re here to help our Hoodland neighbors.
2. Fill out the entire application
Provide all required information for:
- The applicant (name, address, email, working phone number)
- All adults in the household (full name and birthdate)
- Each child ages 0–18 (name, age, clothing size, and three gift choices)
3. Return the completed application
You have 2 Options
- Submit application online or
- Bring your filled-out application back to the same business where you picked it up.
On the designated distribution days, applicants will pick up their food and gifts at the Hoodland Lions Club, located at: 24730 E Woodsey Way, Welches, OR 97067. Proof of address and photo ID required at pickup.

Gift Requests for Children (ages 0–18)
For each child, list three gift ideas they would enjoy. These gift requests will be placed on the Giving Tree for community donors to select and fulfill.
