Why donate to Hoodland Community Christmas Baskets?

Donating to Hoodland Community Christmas Baskets is truly special. Your generosity doesn’t disappear into a large, anonymous system; it stays right here—supporting families in Alder Creek, Brightwood, Cherryville, Government Camp,, Marmot, Rhododendron, Welches, Wemme,  and Zigzag. You’ll know your contribution is helping the very neighbors you pass in the grocery store, see at school events, or wave to on the highway.

Imagine a child waking up to a gift they never expected. A senior opening a box filled with food and essentials they desperately needed. A family sitting down to a holiday meal they weren’t sure they’d have.

That’s what your donation makes possible.

Our Holiday Giving Program has supported Hoodland Fire District #74 families for generations. It’s not run by a corporation—it’s powered by community members who believe no neighbor should feel forgotten during the holidays.

Your generosity turns hardship into hope. It reminds people that they matter. And it keeps a cherished local tradition alive.

"The Hoodland Community Christmas Baskets made our holiday season so much brighter. My children had gifts to open, and we had a wonderful meal, all thanks to your generosity."
